It’s over! It’s finally over and I never have to re-live this miserable year ever again! Like a bad book you start reading, but know you can’t put down until you finish the last page, 2008 just kept getting worse and worse and the only thing to do was see it through to the miserable end! Well I did and it’s done, and I’m alive, well, still standing and still hopeful. Yay me!

2009. A new year. A new beginning, and who knows what else!

Today:

As you can see, a year ago I happily wished 2008 goodbye.  A new beginning, I hoped for and couldn’t wait to see what was ahead of us, while putting the old year behind.

Well that did turn out to be true as 2009 did have a few new beginnings for me – first and foremost, my job. Ira began his new job and we were pretty excited about that too.  My sister and I after years of back and forth squabbling decided to stop it for once and for all. You could say it took us a long time, but better late than ever. Ira and I lost a few friends (and even family members) along the way, but we made some new ones.  It was a year of ups and downs, but the ups seemed to be in more quantity than the downs. I guess that’s all you can really ask for in the end, right?

2010. I’m glad you’re here although it means I’m another year older. One can only wonder what you hold in store for me and the rest of the world, but here you are, the last single, shiny present of the year left to be unwrapped and discovered.
